All Aboard to Wine Country
on the Elkin Vine Line!
Nestled in the scenic foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains, the historic town of Elkin sits in the middle of northwestern North Carolina’s spectacular Yadkin Valley Wine Region (AVA). The Elkin Vine Line connects this quaint town to the beautiful vineyards and wineries that surround it.
The Elkin Vine Line operates like a trolley; picking up and dropping off as it continuously circulates. Our “Winery Hoppers” depart from the Heritage and Trails Center located in downtown Elkin and run all day to the wineries encircling the town. Purchase your pass, board the Line of your choice, then just “Hop Off and Hop On” throughout the day as you explore wine country.
The Elkin Vine Line operates three lines; a "Red Line" that takes you to five wineries closely surrounding Elkin, a "Green Line" that connects with five of our southern Swan Creek wineries and a "Purple Line” that heads north up toward the wineries at the base of the Blue Ridge. For our guests staying at the local hotels, we also provide a “Hotel Hopper” that will pick you up and get you to our Depot located in downtown Elkin.
So, if you’re looking for a weekend wine country getaway amongst some of the most picturesque vineyards and wineries dotting the Yadkin Valley, come to Elkin and ride the Vine Line!
