All Aboard to Wine Country
on the Elkin Vine Line!
Nestled in the scenic foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains, the historic town of Elkin sits in the middle of North Carolina’s spectacular Yadkin Valley Wine Region. The Elkin Vine Line is a transportation system connecting this quaint town to the beautiful vineyards and wineries surrounding it.
The Elkin Vine Line operates much like a train or trolley. Our “Winery Hoppers” depart at scheduled times from a central downtown Station and run all day along preset Lines to the wineries encircling the town. Simply purchase a pass for the day on the Line of your choice and let us “Hop” you to each of our picturesque wineries!
The Elkin Vine Line currently operates five Lines connecting to four wineries each. The Lines are arrayed around the town of Elkin like a compass: a "Green Line" takes you to our southern Swan Creek wineries, a “Blue Line” ranges further to the southeast, our “Gold Line” wends its way east and our “Purple Line heads north to the wineries near the base of the Blue Ridge. Finally, we have a centrally located “Red Line” that visits the wineries closer to town.
When you decide which Line you’d like to ride, just reserve your seat(s) online, show up on the day you selected (we run Fridays through Sundays) and let us help you safely navigate and explore our spectacular wine country.
For our out-of town guests staying at local Hotels, RV Parks or Air BnBs, we also provide a “Hotel Hopper” that picks you up, gets you to our Station in time to board your Line, and returns you safely at the end of the day. We’ll even give you a chance to dine at one of our local restaurants before bringing you back. Let us do your driving for the day!
So, if you’re looking for a wine country getaway amongst some of the most enchanting vineyards and wineries dotting the Yadkin Valley, come visit us in Elkin and ride the Elkin Vine Line!
